PLAZA VERDE

This mural was commissioned by Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre in collaboration with the board of Plaza Verde businesses. Completed over the course of spring 2007 and spring 2008. Designed by Greta McLain and painted by Greta McLain and Gustavo Lira with contributions from artists Aaron Bickner, Andy Fischer, and other HOBT staff. This mural was created to honor Mexican president Benito Juarez, using his story to illustrate the potential of every individual and the seed that we each hold within us, the power of education and importance of our indigenous roots.
